skunk2 tb failure DESTROYED my engine what can i do.........
one of the screws that holds the butterfly on in the tb came off sucked into my engine and destroyed the head and block............ do you think i have any kind of a chance of getting some kind of compensation........
No -- not unless you got it professionally installed -- then the shop would be responsible. Skunk2 won't help you out, sorry..

It can be blamed on improper installation. In fact, I'm willing to bet that was the cause.
Tighten everything, check twice. If you didn't do that, then it wasn't their fault.

the thorottle body plate comes preinstalled, so why would i need to tighten or install it, the tb plate has 3 screws one came off sucked ito my engine and destroied the valves, valve seats and the piston........ it had absolutley nothing to do with the install.

just give it a try tomorrow, it might or might not work. ERAN, you dont have to be a dick about it cause if it happened to you you would also try your best to blame the fault on skunk2.

Essentially. They don't have to shell out a dime for any of their products, and assume ZERO liability.
This is why I don't buy their products. Buyer beware.

its simply to protect their business
if a cam breaks, how do you know it wasnt from over tightening the cam caps? or torquing in the wrong sequence? or not in steps? or trying to spin your new cool hip chipped ecu to 14000 rpm?

Yet people still buy their products... virtually everything in their entire lineup has had defects, then they release second and third versions of their products. Your sir, were a beta tester. Don't you feel special?
Skunk2 = Crap2
And everyone here including the administration will hush this up and come to Skunk2's defense.
You wont find that crap on my car.

would you rather them not release new versions to fix the problem? personally, i cant stand people like you. Always blame the company and not the moron installing the product (not casting a label on the thread starter). **** happens that is beyond the companies control yet you want the world when 1 in a million motors blows up.....good grief.
He hasnt even contacted skunk2 yet and you are already bashing them.
I had a set of crower cams eat into my rocker arms. Should i blame crower? i think not. Why? because plenty of other people have ran them without any problems.
If he didnt buy the throttle from a skunk2 dealer, thats his fault. Who knows what really happened to the throttle after it left the assembly line?
there are too many variables as the case lies right now. not enough FACT. Just a bunch of people casting opinions on products they have likely never even tried.
opinion without experience is about as good as a blind seeing eye dog.
