PIC Performance vs AMR Coilovers
Trying to decide between the PIC Performance APEX kit for my CRX 10k/8k rates or the AMR Engineering kit with the same rates. There is a slight difference in price between the two however the AMR set has adjustable rebound and compression. It seems that PIC has really put a lot of effort in properly matching the APEX sets with shocks and spring rates so I believe it will offer good performance despite the lack of rebound adjustability. PIC "Selects" are out of the question since the cost is past my budget. My car is 400whp, mostly street driven with some weekend drag racing at the track. The APEX is also available with 12k/10k rates but that may be a bit stiff on the rear. Enlighten me for the better choice.
Decide to go with PIC Apex P1. 8k front 6k rear. Very happy with the purchase. Just right for daily driving and performs well during spirited occasions. Can't imagine what the P2's feel like on the street with 12k/10k rates. The P1's are a tad stiff for the street but very tolerable. The preset dampening compliments the spring rates perfectly. Only thing I have to figure it is how to secure the front brake lines to the shock body. Overall, a very good product for the price. Excellent customer service too.

Final Ride Height

Rear and Front Wheel Gap

Need a solution to secure the front brake lines. PIC's shock body's do not have provisions/brackets to bolt the lines to.

the problem we have here in New Zealand is that we can get away with zipties to secure the brake lines to the shocks. it doesnt comply with DOT regulations.
you can make something up out of a bit of sheet metal and bend it to hold the brake linnes

D2's come with a bracket like this, you bolt them up, and just bend them to sit nicely to hold the brake lines in the right place, means no rubbing of the brake lines
