swapped b16a sir2 motor in 95 dx civic....it idles fine, but when i press on the gas, the idle surges, and if i press on the gas further, it dies....its throwin a iacv light, but i know its good cuz ive had 3 in it. im thinkin a vacuum problem...my d15b7 had a purge control solenoid and the b16 doesnt, so i have a hose from my charcoal canister that doesnt go anywhere. when i unhook one vacuum hose, it starts surging..hook it back up and it idles fine, just like it surges when i press on the gas when everything is hooked up...i have no freakin idea, i swapped 2 weeks ago and still havent figured it out, searched and searched, i need my car....please help me figure this out

 

ok i had same problem! ether ur battrey is low. but just enough that car starts or you dont have ground too the body. my car did tha same thing i had my battery ground wire too tha engine but not to tha body of the car... lot me know if that was the case..

 

ok, i figured it out, the tps and map connecters were switched, the connecters are the same and next to each other, i had them crossed........unplugged them, switched them, and now it runs smooth....my map is on the throttlebody, not the firewall
