Can you mix (if they're both synthetic) 5w30 with 10w30?

Yes

Not a stupid question. You could mix them, even if one was synthetic, and the other was not.

thats actually a real good question. most ppl wont mix oils just cuz of difference in brand, synth and natural, weight, etc

If they are both the same brand i would mix them. if they are not the same brand i wouldn't.

he probably has some heavy weight oil and some lightweight oil and wats to mix it to make a 10-30 ahah

If they both had different viscosities, would they even mix together? Or would they just separate from each other
