How to lock the balance shafts and to remove them?

How do you guys lock the balance shaft gears in place to remove those 12mm nuts?

Use a clamp of some sorts.

i know on the shaft on the rear of the block there is a 12mm bolt you can take out and insert something to lock it then remove the bolt. as for the front, im not totaly sure.
