Default Sumitumo HTR Z ... anybody run these? Opinions?

Just curious as I've never read any reviews on Sumitumo tires and I know they make some decent products in other fields (i.e. OEM spark wires on most hondas).

i put these on my s2000 in the rear just for the time beaing as i was down to bald hankook rs-2's.

and i think there just terrable. it feels like the damn *** end of the car whiggles around on me . before i could like whip the steering wheel back and forth and it would grip then the harder i did it the car would say do little drift's. but now if just slops around like i have shitty suspension.

i mean they even have a lower tread where then the rs-2's. like 150 sumitumo and 220 rs2's i think.

2 thumbs down no sidewall at all

Sumitomo's two budget summer tires, the HTR Z and HTR Z II, have both been around for years, while all the other tire manufacturers upgraded their offerings in this segment. They are not very good, period. For a few bucks more, you can get really good tires for your money, like the Kumho SPT, Fuzion ZRi, etc.

Sumitomo recently introduced the HTR Z III, and that top-of-the-line tire is actually very good; it just isn't available in smaller sizes for most Honda/Acura cars.
