Power Street
Hello,
I'm new to the site and was wondering who else will be running in Power Street this year for NOPI. What kind of car do you have and what numbers are you putting down? (ET, MPH, Dyno #s)
Due to finances, I was going to be running in Turbo Street but now will be running in this class.
Anywho, just wanted to stop by and see who I'll be meeting out there this year.
Daniel-

nah turnout at some races is great.
due to my lack of funds and funding I will probably not be at any races this year because of simply being done with the car but no tow vehicle.
last year bumming a ride to MIR I went 11.77@130mph and qualified in the top 8. there were 23 cars at the event. high to mid 10 second cars win the class.
My car did 556whp 398wtq with a pretty bad tune. on a retune if funds permit it should crack 575whp. My times were also on a 2 year old ACT clutch so I think there is way more in it.

I'll be running powerstreet this year. Should have the car finished this week and hope to get some seat time before Georgia. No track times yet, but 714whp @ 32psi with my Bullseye S366XL so far, anxiously waiting for NHRA to clarify what tires we can run on!

I may have my automatic 2G AWD talon finished in time by Georgia, but the next 2 weeks will define that moment. Good luck to all that plan to compete this year

I'm running Power Street again this year too. I was 3rd in points last year and hoping to do better this year.
I race a 92 Civic. I went the best of a 10.7 @ 145 in power street trim but it wasnt at an event. I should be in GA...

I dont know if I can handle Buying the new turbo and other stuff to compete this year. I will play it paycheck to paycheck Right now I have a GT4294 that is NOT powerstreet legal.
I am trying to get my hands on a 366 if i can cut my turbo loose without taking to much of a hit.

what set of tires to run. I'm betting the class will be low 10's high 9's for AWD's and depends on the tire for FWD's..

Were are you getting your info? Glen told me the tire changes would just effect AWD cars, so that means 245's...

Replace all sentences after the first complete sentence in this section with:
DOT approved tires only on all AWD and RWD 4-cyl forced induction applications. DOT approved tires permitted on FWD 4- and 6-cyl applications, racing slicks prohibited. Maximum tires size 245/60 on all applications. Rear “skinnies” prohibited on all forced induction applications. Retreads, space-savers spares, or any non DOT-approved tire prohibited.

im probably being complicated but i still think they need to add a "forced induction" in that second sentence. thats where its confusing. the rule does not clearly say no slicks on fwd 4cyl f/i cars. it very clearly says dot tires only on awd and rwd 4cyl f/i cars. this is the biggest problem i have with the rules. that one rule gets me all worked up every time i se it.
i see that but its still up for debate in my eyes. they specify f/i for awd and rwd..they even specify f/i for skinnies....whatever though..its not a big deal..just something that drives me crazy because i have a $500 set of wheels and slicks i cant use now. how about the t3/t67ho..useable in power street or no? any takers on that one?
