how many inches are the speakers (front and back) on a 95 accord ex? Thanx

 

5 1/4, 61/2 front, 6x9 rear

 

any particular thing that determines whether they came w/ 5 1/4 or 6 1/2 up front? Trim? feature package? etc? Do any mods have to be done to an accord w/ a stock 5 1/4" front speaker to install a 6 1/2" speaker in?

 

width and depth with the 5 1/4 will work, but depth is a problem with the 6 1/2. the plastic gaurd behind the speaker does not allow the magnet to go deep enough to get the speaker flush, look for a speaker with less depth, or cut that plastic gaurd out. I havent cut the plastic, i dont know how close it will come to the window, so be careful.

You can just remove the plastic guard. I think it's held in with only a few screws.

 

6.5 in the front and 6*9 in the back

 

If my boston pro's fit in the door, I think you can fit just about any 6 1/2" speaker in there. Just remember to put something behind that though. The speaker will get dirty and wet, so if you have a speaker with foam surround or paper cone, you might want to think twice or you'll be replacing them pretty quick.
