what motors can be swaped in the car fairly easy what motor mount kits are needed is there any how to threads out there just looking for some info on swaps please help
same gen jdm lude engines and the b21 from a later model same gen lude can be swapped in somewhat easily. other than that people have dome b16/18 swaps but they are a LONG way from bolt in with a mount kit easy.

The only engines that are swappable at this point is the B20A5 and B21A1, B20A(JDM), B21A(JDM) and the H22 with the swap mounts.
No other B series motors will drop in, without extensive modification. There are very few parts that are even remotley interchangble as well.
Just go to the link in my signature http://www.preludepower.com for a better database for your prelude. Read up in th FAQ's in the 3rd Gen section(88-91 Prelude).
Here is one with a boosted H22 and the mounts:

Should you have any questions about the H22 swap then just email me.

The only modification will be replacing the front cross member with a custom traction bar setup for more room and to get better clearance for the driver side radius rod. Or having the stock radius rod custom bent to clear the crank pulley.
And if you want a/c you just find some grade 8 bolts that are long enough to put about 3" of washers inbetween the frame and the front cross member to allow the H22 a/c compressor to clear the factory cross member.
Then have the a/c lines in fabricated to connect to the compressor.
The powersteering only needs the line fabricated to connect to the stock line to the rack. Cruise control can be kept but will need some relocating.
The Mounts I produced sits that engine in perfectly and I test drove a swaped 3rd gen myself, and that car pulled really nice!
Its not as light as a civic but it has better handling and the chassis weight makes it light enought to make this car kill many V6's and V8's.
The wiring is done by http://www.rywire.com(Ryan) we have contracted them to do a group buy on some H22 harnesses, so they know what to do, and they do a great job.
Other than that, just pull a shifter assembly from any 92-96 Prelude or 90-97 Accord. And that will solve the backward shifting pattern.
With the H22 into this chassis, it is an outstanding combination.
Basically this motor sits without any issues in the 3rd gen chassis. And for those who dont care about a/c forget what I said earlier and no need to do anything to the front cross member. The radius rod can be solved by replacing the crank pulley with some aftermarket crank pulles's, which the majority of people do anyways.

Here is another swapped 3rd gen:

And here is a picture of that washer trick I was talking bout:
