Default Installed my tranny, not sure if it went alright....?

Well, I installed my tranny on my B18B1 this weekend and I could not get the tranny to sit fluch against the engine block. I could only get within about 1/2 " whcih was enough to start the bolts, then she walked in rather smoothly with tightening the bolts. Is this right? I really didn't need much force on the bolts, and it fit together. I just fear something didn't line up perfectly inside. I should also mention this is a new clutch/pressure plate/bearings. Also, the .5" distance I had to walk in the tranny was about the distance of the dowels. Any advice is appreciated.....!

With only 1/2", the input shaft should have already been through the pressure plate. Have you driven the car?

You should be okay, that's how my tranny always goes in.

If you have doubt, you can depress the clutch and roll the car with the transmission in gear to check for free movement. You should be fine.

Once you get the transmission to hang on the dowel pins, you can use the bolts to slowly pull the transmission onto the engine.

Ok, thats exactly what I did is just pull it in that last 1/2" so sounds like I'm good, thanks. I also pulled the boot off over the shift fork and the release bearing looks tight and installed properly. Thanks for the help!
