Just like the topic says, one of my friends has an Integra with a 94-97 USDM Front bumper on it. He said that the Spoon lip will bolt straight up to it, is this true? Will there be any complications?

 

I'd sure like to know too.

However I've asked Mike @ IPS this very question and he said it's not quite that easy (actually, he said it wouldn't fit). Then again, ... ?

 

Revise the question:

Does the Spoon CF lip use the STOCK mounting holes on the JDM ITR front end vs the OEM ITR lip. Meaning there are bolts or hardware that mount it underneath the car.

 

I'm just making sure Migs... Look at the post above yours!! Mike said it would not fit!

 

The OEM JDM ITR lip doesnt fit directly either. It fits on my car now. Mike @ IPS, please go into detail on the fitment.

 

We'll have to see about any additional infro from Mike.

My question would be whether if "conforms" to the front of a USDM 94-97 front.
The mounting solution can be worked out afterwards once we find out if it "fits" the front of the car.

 

I have a JDM ITR lip on my 94-97. It conforms with the entire front bumper with a SMALL exception on each sides. You cant really tell since my car is black.

If Mike @ IPS is saying it doesnt fit by conformity, then itll fit a 94-97 with minor customization. I had to modify my stock 94-97 BUMPER already to accomodate the JDM ITR lip.

 

MiGs, do you have any pics? I'd like to see what that looks like.

 

what about 98+bumper. I really really want a cf lip.

I've heard of a few people making the JDM ITR bumper fit onto their 94-97 but when they do so they are pushing and contorting the lip to the bumper. No way in hell is a CF lip going to contort to the bumper, you'd end up with big gaps on the front edges.

 

I installed it on my 94-97 and it fits just fine without PUSHING or CONTORTING at all. I did have to cut the bottom of the GSR bumper, where it is not painted. I used 3 mounting holes underneath the stock bumper.

Easily understandable that CF will not contort at all. The OEM JDM ITR lip has MINOR gaps on the sides, its not as big as people might think. Oh well, thanks Mike for the response!

Im at work right now, I dont have a picture of the small gaps. Trust me, the gaps are SMALL. Ill get closer pics when I get home.
