Default best exhaust for a DC2??

I'm currently looking for an exhaust system for my 98 GSR but it is really hard to pick because I don't know how it will sound... I'm looking at the apex-i N1 and the spoon N1 axle back... and if I would go for the spoon N1 axle back, would I need to change my B pipe for better sound?? if there are other suggestions or if you guys know the best sounding exhaust for the DC2 pls tell

TIA

I honestly don't believe that there is a "best", but I believe that there is a "preference" for an exhaust. Everyone has their own taste for sound. Personally I like quiet exhausts such as the WS1 but like I said, some people like louder exhausts... Also, your mods can play a big role in how your exhaust will sound like. Check up on youtube for some sound clips... pretty sure there's a bunch of them posted on there

Might as well get the whole cat-back instead of just the axleback. I have the apexi n1 and it sounds really nice daily driving. It does get loud when getting on it though.

I personally like the APEXi N1 catback. But like goodtrouble already said, an exhaust really comes down to personal preferece. Just go check out YouTube for various videos of different exhausts.

Apex'i N1 and Spoon N1 the sound and loudness are there but i feel that the spoon n1 offers you a deeper more refined sound. A happy medium between these two exhaust is the Greddy Evo2, the evo2 has a low deep rumble to it and the loudness is right under these two. Good sound.

I have the Apex'i WS2 and absolutely love it, it's not a loud exhaust but it sounds pretty good when you go past 4500rpm. It's comparable to the RS*R Exmag.

Spoon N1

Apexi WS2

RS*R Exmag

Greddy SP2

Sound clips:

Spoon N1: 2.38" piping

Greddy SP2 2.36"

Apex'i WS2 2.36"

Apex'i N1 2.36"

Greddy Evo2 2.36"

tweek you are quite the character...anyway an axle back is pretty good and cheaper than a whole system which i would say isnt worth it. i can buy a ws2 muffler from the marketplace and resonator from a shop for maybe 200 total. take it to the shope and they do all the piping for 100. so u can get a system for cheaper than buying a whole catback. but thechoice is urs...

probably the stupidest statement ever...

I just intalled the Greddy TI-c exhaust n love it! It's not too loud, bearable, burnt titanium tip and the angle is str8 niioce.

I had the RS*R ExMag GT2 on my other dc2 and that was their N1 design with the piping that went under everything straight to the muffler hangers. It saved a lil wait and exited way to the right of the bumper. Was sik n miss it. Juss too loud.

Last, I had a HKS Hi-power on my DC5-s and that was great. Low tone, loud when you wanted to be. Great exit. I'm told its the same way tone/style wise with the DCs.

I recommend the new TI-c exhaust from Greddy!
