1) Head Bolts are too long - Using a d16y7 bottom end to a SI head. Using Head bolts from the SI. I called a HONDA dealer said they have 2 seperate Head bolts (Short/Long). I think i've answered my own question but im getting frustrated with this dseries crap hehe. I'm just finding these little things out as I go which is getting irritating.

2) What compression will a stock d16y7 bottom end to a SI Head yield?

1) dont use the short ones, i killed a block like that, from what i hear you have to add shims to the longer head bolts

head bolts should be short if anything teh d16a6 is not as tall as the y7 head....and as for the compression its gonna be lower than that of the y7 due to the larger compression chamber of the a6 head its gonna be like uhh say 9.2:1 maybe a guestimate

The reverse mini-me y7 and A6 head is the lowest compression combo there is... around 8/1 ... And try and get the Y8 intake if you find one cheap, it will help you out... TURBO ???

2- 8.8:1

If you're going turbo, you should use the Y7 head cuz the valves are 30mm instead of 29 for the A6.

teh y7 will also up the compression back up though smaller chambers
