1990 DX Stock Exhaust 4dr
Hey guys! My civic has had an exhaust leak, actually it broke at the weld in the res, for about a year now and i would really like to get it fixed. The reason i didnt get it fixed sooner is cause at a shop they wanted 350 to do it and i figured, nah. I've been searching posts and searching pics/sites trying to find something to show me how the exhaust is connected. Its raining and snowin right now so id prefer to not go under the car. All i would like to do is put the stock exhaust on and am wondering which parts are needed. When i looked earlier it looks like the header comes down to a flange, then a main muffler (res) runs back to about the middle of the car to another flange, then the rear muffler connects and just simply runs back. If that is correct then i would need a new main muffler and a new rear muffler (just to pair new with new) to complete it since my current exhaust is broken at the weld which bends around the gas tank. I'm not positive this is how it goes since i couldnt get the best look so if anyone could let me know how it runs and what parts i would need that would be AWESOME. Heres the site im lookin at to order the parts if thats what i need. Thanks a lot for any help.

I replaced the section like that on my 91 hatchback STD last summer. It should be a one piece section and it should cost around $100.00
Just cut the bolts to the Cat converter and the other end and put in new ones.
There is also a gasket that costs about $3.00 that you will want to get, it goes where the exhaust connects just past the rear wheel.

What I did was cut off or remove the bolts holding the cat conv on then cut the exhaust pipe just before the flange connection by the rear wheel. I was then able to work with the exhaust alot easier, it's almost impossible to cut the flange bolts by the rear wheel with a hacksaw unless you take that whole section off.
Ok excellent...
I've got access to a lift and everything so thats a plus. The website i posted has a bunch of exhaust parts which are direct fit for the 90 civic dx. Is it the main muffler i need? Any other suggestion where i should get the part?
