The motor is a b16a2. When you start the motor and you try to push the gas pedal it immediately dies. When you start the car it idles really rough for maybe a minute then dies. I had the car running last saturday for about thirty five minutes. It died on me and wouldn't start up again. We brought it back and realized that the timing belt guide was not on, it ate away all the plastic on the timing cover.So we fixed that and made sure everything was still at TDC which it was. So we checked spark and fuel and also did an ohm test on the crank sensor and the distributer as well and everything was good. I am stumped and need some help.

Check the valves clearances. When they are really off they can cause the idle and stuff to go down the drain. adjust the idle screw also by disconnecting the iacv and adjusting it from the throttlebody. Make sure its not running rich also. If you have aftermarket injectors it could be running rich. Also make sure your you running the right ecu
