Default Tach jumping ?

So I just got my car started finally , I go for a cruise and I noticed that the tach is jumping when i accelerated it seems to get stuck and then jump up a bit and then continue.

It is not jumping all over the place but it is jumping up as it goes ?

Sounds like a VSS issue. Check it's connector for corrosion. Hopefully it's not kaput.

its the connection on your ignitor. take the connectors off clean them and make sure the connection is tight.

This either could be a Vehicle speed sensor issue, but most likely it's related to your ICM (ignitor).. since your having bogging issues..

I had a similar problem with my teg, the tach started going crazy.. then eventually starting bogging... then the car died.. I pulled the distributor off and replaced the ignitor.. and good to go..

If you bought one brand new from a parts store.. I'd reccomend taking it back and swapping it out for another one... all there parts consist of is rebuilt parts.. which can be good and bad.

No.. It's a faulty connection on your ignitor inside the distributor or it's about to take a **** on you and leave you stranded on the side of the road..

Pull the distributor cap off and it's a little square with maybe 4 connections on it.. check them.. if you have electrical grease.. use it.. if you do this and it doesn't work..

Like i stated previously.. Return the distributor and get another one.. before the warranty is out.

Try to use a pair of pliers to clamp the connections on the Ignition Control Module down tighter. This seems to be a very common problem. I had the same problem and this fixed it.

This pic is for a B16, but i had it saved in my favorites..

It's illustration #7..

Pull off the rotor button, then remove the distributor cap, remove the dust shield and the internals of the distributor should be exposed..

What are you bumping for..

We've all told you what the issue is..

Honestly i do not think your mechanically inclined to take apart your distributor.. judging by the way you respond..

Take the distributor back and have them give you a new one..

then your car will not bog nor the tach jump.

OK dude, I remember I GOT U FOR THIS **** LAST TIME. ONE post, not TWO, not THREE, ONE!

2...literally....2 posts down you have this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2242539 titled "<U>Car bogging and Tach jumping</U>". I told you last time not to double post ****. I hate to flame u for this type of **** but is that hard to understand??? Come on dude, think! Ill post the same answer for u just to keep this tech related, but STOP DOUBLE POSTING YOUR SHYT!

Either its the dizzy, but uve said u replaced it...your timing, the fuel filter (VERY LIKELY) the fuel pump (ALSO LIKELY) or if its swapped its running rich (not so likely if ur stock at all). So, i'd start by checking your timing, then the fuel filter replacement and then the fuel pump. Im sure somethin will do the trick. Let us know.

Don't want to be an ***, but last time I asked nicely; and yes I am **** like that.

you should have addressed that to begin with before buying some dank ricer tach...i would suggest looking through a helmes manual...diagnose the prob yourself and then fix it!
