Default Bad bump steer = EF8 Tie rods ends worn?

I've got bad bump-steer/sloppy steering/handling. I've tried a few different alignments. I've tried adjustable coilovers and I've tried reverting to stock shocks/springs. I've replaced the power steering rack and replaced hoses that were perishing. I've replaced most bushes in the front suspension geometry.

I've basically done everything I can think of except tie rod ends.

I've tried a few different tie rods from local CRXs and most just throw the alignment out severely. (ie longer rods or differently angled balljoints etc I dunno).

Do I need to get tie rod specifically designed for the EF8? This is not easy...

Does anyone know of any aftermarket tie rods and tie rod ends that match the alignment specs of an EF8 (EF8 specific parts presumably)?

Aftermarket might work out cheaper...

If anyone has any other thoughts on the solution to the steering problem, please help me out! Cheers

Did you adjust the end play out of the steering rack when you replaced it?......Check Tyson's FAQ........Good Luck

I didn't do it, so I'm not sure. I looked up and down the FAQ thread and cannot find the section on adjusting end play.

That said, I guess replacing balljoints is good maintenance anyway. So does anyone know of any aftermarket EF8 tie rod ends?

Cheers

Ok, so OEM is recommended. Do they even stock them anymore?! I have a mate who used to work in spare parts at Honda who I'll call and see... can't wait to see the price

This critical adjustment is found deep in the rack and pinion thread. Check it out. I'm about to do mine. OEM Honda is best, but I use MOOG tie rod ends 'cause you can re grease them. Good Luck.......
