Head Milled/Skimmed

Does anybody know how to measure how much a head has been skimmed?
Like standard dimension(s) compared to current dimension.

you can use a micrometer to check the head height...take various dimensions around the head(about 8 locations) and compare it to the stock height if you can burrow a service manual
