The deck height of the block would affect this. I can't recall if the B17 block is the same as the B16A, which is shorter than the B18 and B16B blocks.

b16 and 17 blocks the same deck height. b18a/b/c and b20 are taller

Correct, same PR3 head as the B16 as well

B17 is just a stroked B16.

Be careful here; B16A blocks are not the same as B16B blocks. The B16B shares its block with the ITR and GSR and is taller than the B16A.

Generally they all cross over...after all the deck height is like .3"s different or something (211mm on the B18s and 203 on the B16s....from what I recall....ofcourse including the B16B in the B18 catagory). There is that slight difference on the ports as well (B16s sit lower on the head I believe?), however most header manufacturers arent going to design 2 different headers over a .5" difference. Nobody is going to notice that extra clearance beteween the oil pan and header on the B16. However, the length (ie, where it connects to the cat) is different and some B16 headers have the collector flange turned at an angle (99-00 SI). However, for the most part they are all the same stuff....I can assure you that people have thrown a "JDM ITR" header on a B16, LS/Vtec, B16B, GSR, B20, etc etc etc.
