I dont think its true, about JDM engines

I have seen a couple type R, crx's and civic front clips and they where all over 80k on the cluster. So I dont think that the 30,000 - 50,000 mile rumor on JDM engines is true....

Maybe the people who owned those cars replaced their engines ?
Maybe their clusters count in KM ?

Im just curious.

also thats a average. doesnt mean one with 100,000 miles wont slide by once and a while as long as the comression #'s are good. best bet is to go with a reputable importer thats honest

well they dont change the cluster when they change the engine

however i do agree with you, just like people in USA do funny smogs im sure they do something similar for there engines swapping thing, i got a b16a from blank blank importers with supposedly 30-40k i tore it apart and it looked like a 200k motor, on the other hand i bought a b16b and i tore that apart, it was so clean i could eat off it!!
