No compression in cylinder 4 WTF!!!!
ok I got 210 in cylinders 1-3 but cylinder 4 had none what so ever.......I was doin about 80 on the interstate, once I got off it felt like it had a miss, so after I got off worjk I went and got sparkplugs, changed them and nothin. I drove it back home and did the compression test...What could it b?

Edit: I had the same problem once, turned out I had a hole in my #1 piston. But the car was smoking horribly. Is yours?</TD></TR></TABLE>nope its not smoking, I looked down the sparkplug hole, and I dont see a whole in the piston

There could be a valve stuck open or bent. Also, the head could be cracked or the the headgasket could be gone on that cylinder. I am NOT going to go as far as to say that is could be the compression ring, because you said there is no smoke. As mentioned before, check your valve adjustment first to make sure that's not the problem.

looks like I need a new valve, there's no damage to the piston at all .anyone have a idea of what could have caused that? Btw thats the exhaust valve that has a hole in it, that explains Y I wasnt getting no compression
HondaChris, what engine u'r drivin?
It may have to do with that octane booster, but thats not very likely. If you gas is not apropriate to you CR, the moisture will missfire, or detone... I'm not going to say "that's it", but I really don't think it has to do. Look on you header for that missing valve part, it has to be somewhere!

I doubt that the octane booster caused it entirely. It was probably either worn out or something hard got caught between it and the head and weakened it enough to cause that part to fall off like that. Did you ever find the piece that came out? I would look everywhere to make sure it isn't stuck in the exhaust port somewhere. You will also want to check the rest of the valves and make sure there aren't any stress fractures on any of them, since you have the head off anyway. At least you quickly found the problem without putting a whole lot of money in it first.
