im sure this has been asked before and i couldve ran a search for it but im also sure there is a hundred different topics on check engine light.

so anyways my car has been sitting for the winter in my garage and it finally nice enough to start it up and go for a drive. started up no problem but my check engine light is on now and it hasnt run for about 5 or 6 months now. the exaust smells horrible and there is no vtec engagement and the car also reaches rev limit at around 6000 rpm now. i assume this is safe mode? i know there could be a few possibilities but my guess is one of the o2 censors?

any help appreciated . by the way this is a b16a2.

 

find out what CEL is it then you start from there....
