So today I went over a speed bump and it felt like I hit the bump with the car. Might have been part of the exhaust piping, I do see that the header pipes are dented though. Could this cause my exhaust to be louder all of a sudden?

 

im thinking it might have bent the flange up creating a small leak. damn speed bumps

 

That happen to me once in my old 94 rs 2dr integra. The problem was that the muffler was rusted. So, when I hit a bump it came loose. The sound was super loud it scared me. I pulled over right away. Easy fix.

 

I checked it last night and everything looks straight except for the header pipe? I'll check again today in the light heh. Thank you guys. Hopefully nothing serious.

EDIT:
Found the problem, the flange where the muffler piping connects is loose and isn't really fitted. Thanks everyone.
