turbo ls/vtec help
my 93 teg tends to studder between 6-7.5k rpm. it makes no power whatsoever.
i though it was the fuel system at first and replaced the fuel pump for a walbro.
made a little difference during the mid range rpms.
im not sure whats wrong with the high rpm range though. the car is chipped by phearable.net (john vega)
im not sure if to take it to the dyno yet. its never been tuned.
i was thinking maybe its the fact that its not tuned.
i dont want to spend dyno money on a car that feels like its mechanically broken.
anybody have any input or ideas?
its running 10psi right now. What should i do?>

What does boost do in those RPMs and are you sure that vtec is engaging? Sounds like it could be a tune issue, but it could be a slew of other issues as well.
it's probably running like that because you're driving on a basemap. if you don't want to dyno tune yet, find someone to street tune it. get your afr in check. Your spark plugs are probably black as hell. check them out
I agree with the above.
Chip does not equal tune. I would hazzard a guess that as you continue to drive your car, presumably hard since you're up in the 6000+ rpm range, that you're considerably shortening the lifespan of your engine without it being tuned. Good job.
Don't be cheap. Go get it tuned.
