My Check Engine light has been flickering.
it might be a type 1 misfire....... a catalyst damaging misfire, im not sure for all vehicles.... but some flash once per sec to tell u this, on obd 2 cars(96+) so if u got a b20, is it a 96+ motor....if so check ur cat.

ive got a lstec swap. obdI harness. p28. 95 civic cx.
the cel would flash every now and then. they car would feel like it looses power to the engine when it happened.
I found a bolt that was arching on the starter. then the car ran fine for a day. the hesitation is back now. in fact, the car won't start.
I only throw cel 14 when i jump it. IAC. its a good known sensor too. I'm on the verge of buying another wire harness to see if that fixes the problem.
