Can i use a DA booster and master on my ef?

Default Can i use a DA booster and master on my ef?

My booster went out, and i can pick up a DA booster with the master for free? Can i use this? Is it a direct bolt up?

yes you can. but make sure you use the non abs unit.

ABS or Non ABS doesn't matter. You can use either one. You just can mix and match ABS booster with non ABS MC.

The non ABS booster will read 260v on the tag on the top of it.

The ABS booster will read 290v on the tag. If you use the ABS setup which I personally know many with this setup you need the nut from the rear line of the MC from the donor car and you will have to cut your rear line and flare the nut on there. Not a big deal

It does matter!! The ABS and NON-ABS will bolt together but they don't work. I've done this. I put an ABS 1inch master on a non-ABS booster. There were no brakes. The 'finger' inside the booster wasn't long enough to engage the master cylinder. I had to make a spacer to make up the difference. If you're going to use an ABS master, you need an ABS booster too.
