Default Sad day for 01-618 =[

So today around 1:30 I went to a doctor's appointment in a VERY nice heavily trafficked area. Parked in the parking lot, which I have done for over 3 years.. never had any issues. Of course they were late taking me, didn't leave the office until 3 PM. I was in a rush to get home to the bf... and as I'm rushing to my car, I notice my driver's side window visor is expletiveed up.. I was like wow ok some moron tried to rip off my visor. Then I look through the back of the rear hatch window, and notice my rear view mirror is all sorts of angled pretty much straight up and down, I was like wtf i KNOW i didnt do that when I had gotten out of the car. Run to my car.... alarm doesn't work. Manually open the car with my key... and am in tears at this point as I realize they completely ripped off the steering column, my ignition was sitting on my shiftboot, all the wiring is effed up there. The kickpanel to my ecu was ripped off, and my hood was popped, they had disconnected the terminal from the battery. I cannot believe they didnt steal anything in my car or under my hood I guess I'm lucky but I'm just so bummed right now so i thought i'd share.... blah. Thank GOD i have full coverage and insurance is covering it and i'll be getting a sweet rental car (HA).

cliff notes:
- car got broken into.

Damn, sorry to hear. Glad insurance will take care of you. Definitely time to add more to the security, your R is marked. Sadly, quite a few ITRs have died to thieves in your part of MD....

I hate saying this, but you have been given your warning personally! You now know the risks if you want to continue driving your car to such places. Sorry to hear, hope things get taken care of with the insurance company.

That sucks, mang. Pretty much same story here. I got complacent after the years I was initially taking great caution and care.

They leave my EK9/Momo SRS wheel but take my EM1 cluster. They take my shitty silverstar bulbs leave my EK9 headlights (even took off all 4 bolts on one). Jacked up my dash trying to get my Eclipse AVN out, but only succeeding in breaking off the screen. Took the key for my SSR Competitions out of the center console and had it laying on the passenger seat. They take my Mugen front strut tower bar, EK9 valve cover and oil cap and leave the rest.

They left my hood up and it rained in the motor all night. That scared the hell out of the insurance, who totalled the car. But got the car back (and running again) and a good 11k to splurge. Still have to figure some of what plugs into where (found my alarm shock sensor laying on the passenger seat next to the key) and there are probably a good 10 connectors/cables I don't know what plugs into where. Can't get my headlights or blinkers to work just yet, though confirmed the car does run (with stock intake, valve cover, etc).

Bought a 96 hatch I'll leave shitty until I get a house (hoping to close in the next month, if not next few weeks).
