Inspect your cap and rotor for corrosion.

The iacv will keep your car from running right, i would replace the iacv first and then move on to the next step.

Now when you give it gas are u flooring it or in netural or do u mean when u are driving and give it gas that it dies or bogs out. Could be your fuel rail, check ur fuel pressure shouldnbe at or around 40psi

To many major CEL's, faulty sensors/Cel's can make your car do crazy ****, I've seen a simple broken TPS sensor not let a buddy's car rev past 2500 rpms. Re-check your wiring and sensors.

If I remember doesn't the zc use a one wire 02 sensor? Are you using those o2's still? If so you need to put the 4 wire o2's onto your zc off of your ex, get an IACV asap, and as far as the vtec malfunction it sounds like you didn't wire up the extra sensors for it (vtec solenoid & knock) .. http://technet.ff-squad.com/ has all the info to accomplish that.
