hello everyone,

i just got me this 14" bosch chopsaw
and i need to make a collector jig for my manifold.
anyone ever made one and can post some pics to giveme some ideas?

archived thread that i saved a while back...

 

I drilled one extra hole where my saw vice bolts down and that was all I needed to do to cut collectors

Using a chop saw for a collector can be dangerous to the fingers.... I use the 20" grinder here is a pic of it

[freak] yea its dangerous, I was being dumb and holding it while cutting.. it grabbed and shot it accross the room... now I use vicegrips, cut slower, and make sure I'm out of the way.... and I'm trying to get both of my band saws going still... that would be the best route.

 

How are you guys welding the middle spot in between the 4 pieces of the collector? Do you just cut a diamond piece, stick in in the middle, and weld around that?
