noob needs B16A2 Help

Default noob needs B16A2 Help

hey guys im kinda new to the whole swap and civics stuff so go easy on me, This is my situation i just recently purchased and B16 A2 JDM needed a new engine so i decided to get that. So i have to swap done they take forever and i get it back, it has think white smoke comeing from every were and dies every once in a while so i took it back to them and said its not there problem and that i broke it.

so the thing i need help with is what kind of parts do i need.

and if i need a new head or block what kind will fit and what is the best stuff to get.

i have a pretty low budget so any help is great

This is an internet forum and because we can't physically see the car, there's no way for us to tell you what's wrong with it. If the shop won't do anything for you, you need to take it to someone else who you trust that can tell you what's wrong with it and go from there.

what i mean by my post is if the block is bad and i have to get a new one what would be the best way to go

either bore it out and rebuild it or change it out with a used one, whatever is easier or fits your plans/budget.

White smoke is usually a blown HG. Check your oil to see if there is water in it. Does the car stutter really bad? Does it misfire? Have you checked your coolant? Do you have loss of power? A Hanes book from autozone will give you the diagnosis for the symptom. That's the easiest and fastest way to find out for a noob or someone with minimal machanical experiance. And if your block is bad, buy an Ls block and go Lsv. Good luck.
