I have an '89 Si that I just bought, with a broken ZC block. Would you guys recommend another ZC engine, or D16A1 block/ZC head, or even a D16A8/9 block/ZC head?

 

Take the broken ZC out.... take the head apart..... make it into the worlds fastest flower pot.

D16A6. If you want the vtexorz get a z6 out of a 92-95 ex / si.

Honestly though take the motor out and if your not trying to go b k or h then pick up a single vtec and take advantage of the aftermarket support

just find another jdm dohc zc and boost it.u can find them from most places for 500 just motor.and whats wrong with the zc block?if theres a cracked sleeve u can fix that!
