Honda Challenge News - Don't Build an H6 Car
Due to a complete lack of interest/participation, this class will be officially dropped on 1/1/03.
Anybody who has one of these cars will have to run in H5.

After just two races????
If you expect growth in the other classes, why shouldn't there be growth in H6 as well??
Inquiring minds want to know....
Thanks.

1. We will rework H5 to accomodate such cars for 03
2. There has been no interest, at all, ever, in H6
3. There are no current, commonly-prepared (AFAIK) "tweeners" that would fall into H6
Among other reasons.
--Karl, who once again reminds everyone that this is the first time we've written a rulebook...
I now have a mailing that includes close to 100 drivers. There isn't a single solitary H6 car there.
The interest just isn't there. The few SCCA ITC guys I know that MIGHT show up for one of our races would be bumped up to H5 anyway because of their bottom end.
I'm a firm believer in traveling light. No interest equals no class. Besides, we can buy beer with that $25 per race we're spending on the extra trophy that gets tossed in the trash.

Fine plan - kill it off now, before it gets a toe hold and then can't be zapped without hurting someone's feelings...
Keep up the good work, guys.

Once even one person specifically built a car for this, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to kill it off, even if he was the only person to ever show up.
d00d. I was joking. Seriously. y0

Dude. Seriously. Joke, yO.

Richard, who doesn't want his H5 1st-gen Teg bumped to H4 due to any whining by carb'ed Civic H6 shoulda-been guys. The last thing I need is to have to try to catch 2nd-gen CRX's in both SCCA and NASA.
