94 civic ex no power to fuel rail?? HELP!!
hello, hopefully someone can send me in a direction before i have to pay someone to diagnose this problem.
i got a 94 ex coupe 5 speed, with only 81000miles, this just started the past couple days , heres the problem:
usually when you have the key in the ing. and turn it to ACC you can hear power go to the fuel rail, and then it starts up, in my case i dont hear that little 2-3 second humm from the rail, and my car fires up but dies instantly. once and a while, like every 10th try it will fire up and stay on only if i give it alot of gas pedal!
also when its at idle my tach bounces from like 900 rpm, strait to 0 rpm, and back up to idle , also there is no check engine lights at all..
the cluster brake light and seatbelt lights look like there possessed, dimming out and getting bright again, also the clock bugs out too..
i just had my alt. tested and it tested good!
someone help, any info is helpful!!

what your hearing is the fuel pump not the fuel rail. if you don't hear the fuel pump then you need a fuel pump. check the fuel pressure.
