HELP!!! kaki to black interior swap?
i have kaki interior in my dc5 and i fricking hate it, has any one completly changed the interior from kaki 2 black? im wondering cuz i was looking at all the panels and it looks like its gonna be a headache 2 change. i wanna kno what im getting myself into b4 i start.
it will be a pain in the *** and you will probly break the clips on the plastic and it will fit like **** afterwords......sorry but your best bet is to deal with it.
Why'd you buy the car if you hate it so much?
You realize you're going to spend quite a bit swaping it over (correctly) unless you have a major hookup.

First of all, Jazzy Jeff, it's spelled KHAKI. Not kaki.
Second of all, Jazzy Jeff, the interior color is usually referred to as tan.
Now go find a wrecked DC5 and buy all the interior panels. You'll have to keep an eye out on the classifieds but persistence pays off.

Man the tan interior on the rsx is just plain NASTY! When I was shopping for my car before I bought it, I test drove a white rsx. The interior was so nasty that I started to hate the rsx and was thinking of not even buying it. It wasnt until I jumped into an rsc with the black interior that it made everything gravy again. I dont know what honda was smoking when they decided to put tan interior in a white rsx or just plain simply in the rsx all together.

Yep. A lot of luxury cars have a titanium color interior (it is not tan...tan would be darker).
Funny how people overlook the fact that the seats actually have decent support, the steering wheel is a smaller size, etc (speaking in the Honda world). Function > Form.
I've also seen several other sports cars with titanium interior. It's very popular in Corvettes and other foreign sports cars, such as Ferraris:

I like the tan. I've had a car with black leather interior, and when they start to get worn it looks like ****. Not to mention, the black gets hotter during the summer.
Just download the free service manual for our cars. Look at it to see what it will take. That way you can see where the clips are, and try to pop them out without breaking them. Instead of going into the car like a monkey and ripping things apart.
