Default Steering quickener?

Has anyone done one in a Honda? I'm going to be doing one in my CRX and was just wondering if anyone has pics of how they set it up. Do you have to make a real mess of the steering column or is it possible to integrate it nicely? I'd like to keep all the front plastics intact and have it look stock if possible.

Contact Brian Slames @ Special Project Motorsports he has it on his civic race car and he knows all about it.

Its been done many times. I'm installing a Coleman 1.5, 3 bolt setup next weekend in the new rally car. I will have to wait until we get the unit to be sure. It essentially replaces your existing steering column (or rather you're going to have to lengthen it so that it does, and adapt to the honda splines on both ends.

I make no consideration for "looking stock", as this is something that is done on race cars typically. I'd say that the small form factor units it may be possible, but probably unlikely.

Pity the 99 Si has no option but the stock school bus steering ratio. I drive my Mini, jump into the Honda and miss every turn...then back to the mini and I hit the apex before the turn begins. Okay, so it's not that bad, but my wife's old Odyssy had a quicker ratio the the 99 Si. One sympathizes...

do you recommend these, I am sick of my manual steering rack, I would rather throw the power rack back in and a quickner, maybe 2 turns lock to lock

Nice, what kind of joints are those that you used? Also what is that plate tied into?

well most would think you would never need such a thing, that it would cause all kinds of driving problems. But honestly, It's the best thing I've ever put in my race car. Its ultimate car control.
