it sounds like a blown head gasket!!!!
well i have a 1992 hatch SI with a D16Z6 on it and is been acting up .
last week my car overheat (i didnt let go up much) so i checked for leaking and was none so check my thermostac and it was bad so, i disable it cutting out the spring. but still getting overheat when im running the car for a long trips, and i dont know what i would be the problem!! when over heats the water is coming out thru the plastic tank next to the radiator, a friend of mines told me it could be the head gasket but im not to sure any help will be helfull.

With the car turned off and the engine cold, take the rad cap off and start the car. See what happens. If you have a blown headgasket, good chance you will see coolant spew out of the rad with the cap off. If the hg is ok, you may see a bit of overflow but not much.
Help, i had no problems with my car. its a civic turboed and it after going throught a car wash had white smoke and bubbling rad fluid. blown head gasket, head or water pump? the price to replace it is a lot it it worth it to just upgrade to v tec head its only 300 more?
