Default B20VTEC Dyno: Brian Crower, Victor X, Tri-Y, etc... (VIDEO & GRAPH)

My father's CRX saw the dyno last time since swapping out the AEBS manifold for a Victor X, the UGR S2-3's for Brian Crower Stage 3's, and swapping out the Edelbrock 4-2-1 for a long tube tri-Y header.

This is an 85mm stock sleeve engine, also, using RS Machines pistons.

If you would like some more information on this build, reference to this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2024155

Now, for the numbers...

These runs were done with the headlight intake (which is used on-track), and with the exhaust cutout open. I have a feeling having the cutoff closed hinders power a bunch on this car.

The video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TwEkb5o3xE

As always, questions and comments are always welcome!

Cheers,
- Derek

Dont know if its me but the torque numbers look kinda low. But nice numbers i must say. Do you have the dyno sheet with the old set up?

nice setup D-rob ...now get that head ported!!!...

wrestler72 in the other thread it says the dyno reads low...maybe that's why tq #'s are low...

Did you try more RPM to see what the curve was like..torque is still pretty flat and power looks like its just starting to taper off..nice numbers btw

It was revved to 9,000 RPM, and held power great up there.

That's where the revlimit it, also, now.

You should've swapped the intake manifold, cams, and header one at a time and dynoed after each change. Time consuming and money dependent i know...but then you could see the difference in each part. You might find that swapping back to the old cams or intake manifold might yield more power.

im glad to see someone else actually rock the crower 3's. have many questions..
didnt say what size tb u have?
and what is vtec set at??

i have a lsv, 1.8, 12.3 comp, pnp head,crower 3's, pro fab headers..etc
i dynoed at 203 WHP and 137TQ
that was with port matched ITR and stock TB, runing through 2.25 exhaust to firbll can.

Vtec was set to like 6600, and i stoped makig power at 8k.
i have the victor X on my other motor, and just purchased 72mm TB. Will be going back to dyno and see what it does, and if i can make power up to 9.5k.

Glad to see you got good results.

Haha, yeah, it's pretty cool. We're actually looking at purchasing a DynoJet for ourselves sometime in the near future. Would you and some other Mid-Atlantic enthusiasts be interested in making a trip here for some pulls or something if we do? Maybe a big open house BBQ/Meet?

But yes, this was done on the exact same dyno my car has always used.

You should try the big tube tr-y header and/or the profab and let us know which header the motor liked better

Very nice, bring it down to 1320 and crack 235/150

Do you have any runs comparing the victor x and the aebs?
