Boosting increases the stress load on the motor. If you're willing to deal with the potential consequences, then why not? I'm not saying that something WILL happen....but it's always a possibility when you do things like this.
Don't forget to upgrade the braking system to compensate for the dramatically added power of the car.

a good amount of people that added turbos to the SI had sold them after a few months becuase of the constent tunning needed to make em run right, some cant even get them to run good at all. SC on the other hand is more user freindly but still needs tunning. the comptect is prob the best way to go but you will wait for a good wial before you can get a new one. good luck
Had 3 different turbo Hondas in the past all have been low boost and totally reliable. My turbo EG is still running strong after 75k miles under 7 psi of boost. I just ordered the Greddy kit for my FG2, will be installing in 2 weeks. It's fine if you don't go boost crazy and make sure to keep it maintained.

I'd probably upgrade the brakes, suspension, and do some other minor bolt-ons before boosting. Right now, there is no full-proof tuning out, so you can't really get the most out of your boosted setup.
If I had to boost, though, it'd 100% be a comptech supercharger. AJP has too many customer service problems, Greddy's tune seems to have a hard time taking full control of the ECU, and redshift has been promoting their kit since over a year ago, which still isn't out. Icing on the cake, I've noticed they're also pushing their own suspension setup now (something like 4-5 setups), as well as a turbo setup, when they haven't even released the first S/C setup yet.

k so if i keep low boost then it should be reliable. also is there and mods u have to do at all cause my last honda was a 96 hatch with a b18 swap and always wanted to throw a turbo on it but the money was never there. now i got the money and was just wondering what all i be gettting my self into.

Well, you'll have to buy the kit. And then there's the gauges.. and then you'll prolly want some bolt-ons to increase the power.. larger injectors if they aren't with the kit.. Really, it depends on what you're going to boost with. And even at low boost, you're always straining the motor, at least a little.
