Jetta mayt have been a turbo model which would have seen a slight gain. Thr RSX will not like it. Just get a good exhaust and be happy!

If you remove your muffler, the B-pipe will then be exiting right into your rear lower control arm.

It won't sound good, that's for sure. If anything take it to a muffler shop and have that last resonator removed on the B-pipe. That mod does indeed give the exhaust a more aggressive tone. Actually it gives it a very nice tone.

yeah, you guys dont have to worry about me doing anything crappy to it. the only things that i am goint to do to it are jdm badges, possibly a supercharger and all the things that go with it, and an A-spec lip kit. nothing further.

Actually IMHO, it sounds REALLY good. Spend 10 mins and do it, although its kinda "ghetto" its such a smooth sound. not loud at all.

One of my friends up here at school took his off, doesn't sound bad. I would still go with a catback and RH set up though.

Yes it actually sounds pretty good on an RSX and doesn't really lose much power at all...it honestly sounds better then some exhausts that I've heard

Taking off the OEM muffler is going to get old real fast.

I drove around for 2 weeks without it, while I was waiting for my catback.

I hated it after like the 3rd day, because it's exiting right under the rear seats and drones out everything in the cabin (conversation, music, etc).

It sounds "okay" if you are listening from outside the car, but gets annoying while inside the car.

Do it after you place the order for your exhaust lol. See how u like it until it's time for the new exhaust.

Build up your mod list with actual performance parts rather than trying to make it sound louder. Gains will be minimal to negative. Do what you will to the car, we are all just opinions.
