Default What mpg does your 88-91 CRX/Civic get?

I just picked up a 1990 crx dx and have gotten 36-38 mpg on the highway at 60 mph. Kinda wondering what everyone else gets. This is a lot better than what the specs say it will get. Is that normal?

my old 89 Crx dx best was 47mpg...i'd say high 30's consistently. however it was an Si D16 with the DPFI manifold.

my current 91 Crx Si with B16A1 gets 30mpg tops, in town or highway as far as i can tell

i am thinking hard about the 5th gear LS swap...anyone have numbers on that?

I just currently changed my plugs, filter, and rechecked timing which needed a slight adjustment. wow 4+ MPG

That brings me to 29MPG in town, and 36 on the HWY.

Not bad for a 88 CRX with an LS/Vtec

Changed to a True K&N filter from a junk autozone cone filter, and changed from stock style plugs to NGK irridiums

I did but when you search "CRX/CIVIC gas mileage" or "CRX MPG" nothing that relates to my question shows up. If you can find it then you are a master at using the search engine on this site. Sometimes I swear its hit or miss.

EDIT: I take that back, just found a one that fits my title. Sorry honda-tech for wasting your time.

I just swaped my A6 for a D16Z6 and drove 150 miles all highway and only used a 1/4 tank. It blew my mind. My A6 would have used 3/4 tanks to drive the same distance.

Everyones MPG will differ anyways. It is way to subjective. One guy might mash it all over town the other might drive like a grandma.
