Default what would be an ideal setup for subs?

i drive an integra and i want to put some subs in. ive been through 800 different options, i was gonna replace my rear speakers with 6.5" subs, but the subs would be too deep. soo iin the market to get something that will keep up with metal. i had an excelon 12" but it didnt do well with the fast double bass, souned badass for rap though. but none the less, what be a good setup? one 10? two 10's? two 8's? im running a cadence txa 300w amp to my speakers.

Two 10" subs. Do you have any preference for a particular brand?

i would suggest 2 12" with a mono channel amp, i got 2 infinity 12" 1252 DVC subs and there excellent for any kind of music, it also depends on the head unit u got

That's not because you only had one speaker... The 12" kenwood is a good speaker and should sound just fine for metal. The problem lies in you're box design, power source, or amp and/or it's settings.
