Default b18b1 into an EF Si, searched, still have remaining questions

ok so far as i can tell i need

b18b engine, tranny, ecu
90-93 da axles
shift linkage
throttle cable
motor mounts

my only confusion is what i should do about wiring it up. i've read of some people changing the motor to obd0 by swapping in obd0 injectors, obd0 distributor, and an obd0 pr4 ecu i think, and then using the harness off the d16a6?

either that or using the b18b1's ecu and converting the car to obd1. i looked through rywires harnesses offered and i don't see any for the b18b1 though. will the one designed for a b18a obd1 LS work on the b18b1? And if so which route do you guys recommend going?

thanks much

Convert vehicle to mpfi if not already done so.
Then its your choice:

Convert to OBD1 and use the OBD1 ecu or

Convert engine to OBD0 by replacing distributor.

Either way you can use your injectors. Just don't use the resistor box.

rywire offers it under b-series swaps. but can easily be done your self. convert to obd1 now and save headache later. all you need is obd1 dizzy and 4 wire o2 and if you choose to obd1 injectors with plug block off.. but search here and google for a tremendous amounts of information

ok, well i think i will probably just go obd1 then. as far as the harness goes this is all i could find. http://rywire.com/store/8891-c...84baa

its for the b18a1 because there is no harness listed for the b18b1. i'm not 100% sure but i am guessing that this harness will work just fine for the b18b1 cause im thinking its pretty much identical. would that be correct?

i really dont want to be a pain in the *** and bump this thread but i also cant see posting another one if all im looking for is a simple yes or no lol. im pretty sure i know the answer already but i want to be certain.

so yea will the harness for the b18a obd1 work for the b18b obd1 engine. i would choose b18b harness if such an option existed on the rywire site, but it does not. me thinks that the harness for the a1 will work just fine with the b, i just wanted to clarify first.

thanks

Either engine will work just fine on the same harness.

This was my first swap into my si hatch. If you have the money go for the obd1 conversion, The won't be much of a diff unless you are going to run a modded ecu but it will allow you to do much more down the road. The Si harness is very easy to modify for this swap as all you have to move/extend is the coolant temp from the back of the block to the side of the head. All of the other plugs should match up. Also you will need the ecu jumper harness and distributor harness unless you get a distributor jumper. not very hard to do just do a little more research and you should be just fine.

isnt the coolant temp sensor already in the side of the head? or do you mean the temp sensor is in the rear on the LS and thats why i need to extend the sensor?

Ooh i have another question lol. Umm so this kind of just occured to me now.. :/ im gettin the b18b out of an integra that has an automatic transmission right. i'm not going to be using the auto tranny. That being said are the halfshafts on the auto trans the same as the manual ones? from what i gather it doesnt seem to be the case it'd be nice if i could use these that way i dont have to buy 2 more halfshafts. Also while thinking this over it also occured to me maybe the intermediate shaft is different also! Is this the case or can i use the autos intermediate shaft on the A1 manual tranny that i'll be getting??
