I bought a new tumbler from advanced auto, and would like to know what is the proper way to install it on a 95 EG?
Can anyone give me instructions or point me to a DIY for it?
btw, I have searched with no real luck.

 

You wont find much info on something like this as it is a possiblity that thieves can look and find new ways to steal cars. I could tell you how to replace the whole mechanisim but for the tumbler only cant really do that. Why are you replacing it anyway?

The reason why im replacing it is because I have to try and start the car for 5 minutes before the key catches the fuel pump and primes since there is so much play. Can anyone help me, even by PM's?

first you need to take off the steering column cover then put your old key in the bad tumbler turn the key to acc and push in the pin on top of the tumbler and pull the hole thing out do the same thing to install new tumbler by putting in the new key in the new tumbler and insert hope this helps gl.
