What size is the damn AC belt
Ok, maybe I had a moment of We-Toddness, but I was told the AC belt was 790mm. Well nobody has the damn belt and I checked, 2 dealers, 3 daps, 2 autozones and 1 pepboys. So I picked up a 800mm belt thinking I could just tighten up the pully or run it a little loose. Well fawking hammer on me cause the damn thing still does not fit. Am I doing something wrong? According to the helms the belt goes over the little pully. Well when I do that, I can't even get the belt over the power steering part of the crank pully. Thanks for the help guys, I am seriously considering just ripping the damn ac out now

Try loosening the idler pulley and letting it swing down far enough to touch the crank pulley.
Sling the belt over the ac pulley, then the crank, and raise up the idler pulley to take up the slack.

Yeah, perhaps i should have laid of the
before trying this one...

I agree, street racing is fun, but what does that have to do with the ac?
I'm not going to spend 25 bux for a belt from honda, when i can get it from dap for only 6 bux.

Measure the distance centre to center of both A/C pulley ( L ), measure the diameter of both A/C pulleys (D1 and D2) and use the following formula
Lenght of the belt= 2*L + D1*3.1416/2 + D2*3.1416/2.
It should give you a close enought belt lenght. Buy one that is a little longer to allow for tensionning.

Two bad it goes around 3 pullies
I'm sure Mr. Sackdz has his belt sitting in his room and he could just read the number off of it if he was not such a lazy biznitch.

The third pulley is the tensionner. Add a little bit to the length to compensate for it.
You could also take a rope having roughtly the same size as the belt and run it around the pulleys and then measure the lenght of the rope. Use your imagination...we-todd

It's 835mm. You're a little over 1.25" too short.

I've also got the alternator belt numbers too if you need them.

Asspenny, I have the stock AC belt (somewhere). I had to change it when I used the UR crank pulley. If I can find it, its yours. You must be burnin' up in FL.
