Default Hello everyone I'm new here but I have a prob with my 90 accord

Hello everybody I have a 90 accord sometimes when I start it it will cut right back off and all I have to do is restart it. Well today it started up and cut back off and didn't start back up I messed with it until if eventually started but it now has a very low idle. The check engine light comes on goes off then comes back on and stays that way. A friend of mine told me he thinks it needs a set of plugs and wires but would that make the check engine light come on? Also someone told me that he thinks its the coil and ignitor. Any info will be appreciated thanks.

the best thing to do in this case is to scan the codes and it will tell you what the ECU thinks is wrong.....

Isn't there some kind of way I can put a paper clip on certain pins on the service connector so it can give me a code. Also where is the service connector on my car.

Your Haynes manual is wrong. The SCS conector is above or behind the right kick panel.

Get off redline sometimes, maybe that'll help the life of your car
