b20 ef back firing no start

Default b20 ef back firing no start

b20 in ef with obd 0 ls dizzy ls intake. first time we had a obd 0 pr4 ecu would not fire just keeps cranking... home boy said use our obd 1 jumper and us our p08 to try to start it so we did now it cranks then shoots 1 flame out of exhuast. any help

Are you sure your distributor isn't installed upside down? I don't literally mean that the dizzy is upside down but the teeth that go into the camshaft. Did the dizzy sit flush with the head before you bolted it on or did you kinda have to force it in? If you forced it then take the dizzy off and turn the teeth 180 degrees and then put it back in. Also here's your firing order standing from the PASSENGER side of the car:
Bottom left terminal is 1
Bottom right is cyl 2
Top left is cyl 3
Top right is cyl 4

And the wires go into the head going from 1-4 from right to left

yeah if you use a obd1 jumper you have to convert all the other stuff...
dizzy, o2 sensor, and ecu,
you cant just use a jumper and start the car... it will sometimes start but run like junk...

check your spark plugs wiring

well we got on alldata got the right firing order i finally got homeboy to buy the timing cover turns out the intake was off so during the compression stroke the intake valves were open we fixed that and got a new dizzy and now we're not getting any spark. but the car turns over cleaner now

dude had a ls dizzy on my b20 build and it wouldnt start, put the proper gsr dizzy on and worked just fine, of course converting wires and all involved

my homeboy is on his was with his 10 sec all motor b20 vtec he does all his builds hes going to come check it out but he always lags

the thing is we were getting spark before i adjusted the cams now then we got a new dizzy cause for some dumb reason we thought it was that now the crank and the cams are timed right just no spark.
