Default si ecu?

a quick question for you guys. i was looking in to the hondata ecu reflash but my car is my ride to work home and other places and i dont have another way to get around. so my question is there a place that i can buy or find a 2006 civic si ecu? unless i can sent it off and get it back the day after next or get it back quick. so if any one knows where i could find one or have info on the hondata reflash? any help would be great.
-i heard something about a comptech reflash for there super charger?
thanks for your help in advance.

the comptech reflash is for cars with the comtech s/c.

i believe that hondata is pretty good about returning it pretty fast. you could always ship it expedated to get it to hondata the next day. should be 2-3 day down-time for your car.

but if that is not an option your best bet would be to find one at a junk yard. see if you can get it for cheap. i know some people have sold their reflashes so check here or 8th for people selling them. or hitch rides from co-workers/friends

If you want to buy an ECM this guy is selling one.

I bought a set of OEM fogs from him. Nice guy and fast shipping. You can definitely talk him down in price, i did.

Your ECU is coded to your key. If you use another ECU the car will not start. That is why you have to send Hondata a key, your ECU, and the immobilizer inside the steering column.

thats not the case with 06+ civic SI's this is from HONDATA. How do I get the reflash?

You will need to remove the ECU and via a dealer send it to Hondata. Unlike reflashes for other Honda models you will not need to send the key and immobilizer; just the ECU. Fill out this form and contact a Hondata dealer. Hondata does not sell direct. All ECUs must be sent to Hondata for reprogramming. No Hondata dealer has the equipment to reprogram this ECU.

thats completely different, in that case the dealership is putting in a new blank ecu so of course it has to be coded.
