Excessive Head Pressure. Checked PCV, etc
I know my motor must be on it's way out... So this question is just to help some of the symptoms.
There should be no pressure / vacuum in the head, correct? The PCV is fine, the hoses are good, nothing is clogged. At idle if I open the oil cap there's a significant amount of air that escapes / blows out. There must be a lot of blow-by so the rings are probably bad. And when I step on it, she blows smoke out the exhaust so the valve guides are probably bad too.
Can I relieve some of this pressure somehow? If I run additional vacuum lines to the valve cover, will this help? Does it matter? Can I leave the oil cap off?
I really wasn't planning on building this thing soon. Still dont know if I want NA or boost.
