hey wats goin on. i have a ? about helicoils. my block is at the machine shop they got done cleaning and honing it. when they were puting the oil squirters in they striped 1 of the bolts and when they backed it out all the threads came out wit it. so they told me that they are goin to helicoil the the threads so they can put the bolt and oil squirter in. how strong are helicoils i dont want the damn squirter to come undone and kill my motor

 

for this application, helicoils are fine
although...double check that they know the size - its tiny and id be surprised if there is an insert that size

 

yea hte guy said it was 8mm x1 sumtin like that he had to special order it
