T1R reverse tie rod vs j's racing spl steering tie rod
does anyone know info about the j's racing tie rods, ive looked at different sites but no discription. if i plan of extremely lowering the car will i need the reverse tie rod ends? and will the j's racing tie rods work for lowered cars?
my goal is to be able to adjust the suspension for very low to lower so i need something that will work with both hight adjustments

I would just get the tie rod ends you dont need to replace the entire rod.. If you are lowered enough and want to eliminate bump steer this will help.
thanks, i dont mind replaceing the whole thing, for only 100 more it would be worth getting the whole tie rod, i just dont know if the j's racing will work not being reverse end.....
It will somewhat take care of the bumpsteer problem, but it won't take care of your lack of suspension travel nor will it correct the (horrible) control arm geometry or rear binding.
Bump steer will be the least of your problems if you 'slam' your car, so why waste your money? It's like covering a 5" cut with a 1" band-aid.
And every time you adjust your suspension, make sure to give the alignment shop a call...although chances are that you won't be able to get the car on the alignment rack if you are lowering as low as you seem to be saying you are.

im not talking tier tucked low, just low enough, id give some measurements but i havent got the complete suspension installed yet, im just getting an idea of what i will need.

Those already have a slightly modified (geometry wise) arm on them. If you find yourself getting bumpsteer then you're too low, period.

i plan on getting them, but that because i really dont like the angle my tie rods are at..
i have buddy club N+ as well.
any one know if there are any camber plates that fit the N+'s??

I'm currently getting the T1R tie rods installed on my DD. I like that it helps get the alignment on the car closer to specs, also the angle on the tie rods are not extremely angled. Fill you in when my brother is done and I get the car back in a hour...
If you are going LOW, like fender level with the tire, DON"T USE T1R tie rods. They are actually shorter than the stock tie rod. The problem is that when installed the toe was still -3.0 degrees outta spec with the tie rods adjusted all the way out. Anymore and they would de-thread themselves from the steering arm. I needed my car driving so I just got some OEM tie rods and luckly made those work. Yes my steering arm angle is horrible right now but I will correct that at some point in the future. I can't comment on the J's racing piece but I'm assuming that they were aware of this problem I'm commenting on. I am assuming that those replacement steering arms are longer than the OEM arms so you can correctly align your car. I'm going to do research on them but I'm sure that is the route i'm going to go in the future.
I'm not knocking the T1R piece. It is very high quality and when I had to drive on them for 20 miles they felt amazing. Very well designed peice except for the length of the threading.
Hope that helps anyone
BTW I got some barely used T1R reverse tie rod ends for sale if anyone wants them $150 shipped anywhere in the USA....no Alaska or Hawaii.

Don't run the J's Racing tie rods either. They are not an inverted design they simply allow for more toe adjustment when running low ride heights and significant negative camber. I had a set and one of the inner ball joints failed within a month completely messing up my toe
.
Stick with OEM. If you change parts you will be more likely make your bump steer worse rather than better.

The T1R didn't work. The actual bolt with the threads did not fit right it was to long and had lots of play. So i'll just leave it alone then..
This is retarded....it is such a simple fix....all we need to drop our cars are T1R reverse tie rods with more threaded area OR longer steering arms in combination with the current T1R reverse tie rods.
